• Increased community service opportunities for club members by reaching out to the local community and planning events such as the Secret Code of Business with Feed My Starving Children, Tempe Public Library, and public schools
• Successfully organized and executed two campaigns (President and Vice President) to become a member of the executive board for DISC to increase opportunities for current members to volunteer and connect with the community of Tempe
• Educated community at Tempe Public Library in topics such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Computer Basics, and iPad Basics

• Led a team of four students in developing a proposal that establishes technology workshops for all W.P. Carey students in fields such as iOS Application Development, Data Security, and Python programming to be presented to the W.P. Carey Dean and Advisory Council
• Working with a team of 12 students from all class levels and majors to continue increasing the quality and reputation of the W. P. Carey School of Business

• Helped students complete their homework and understand in-class concepts improve their math and reading performance/confidence

Competitor/Mentor in the CoMIS Case Competition

December 2015 – Present      Tempe, Arizona & Minneapolis, Minnesota

• Participated in a 3-day Management Information Systems Conference (CoMIS) case competition held at the University of Minnesota as part of a three-person team to present a business solution to make communication in global teams easier and more efficient for Medtronic and won 3^rd place
• Prepared diligently for three months practicing over five cases learning new concepts including PESTEL, SWOT, Market Analysis, Cost Analysis, Risk Mitigation

 

Volunteer at Global Glimpse

June 2014 – July 2014      Matagalpa, Nicaragua

• Participated in a volunteer program to teach English to community members ages five to fifty, initiate service projects, and redesign a psychological clinic to help patients feel more secure and comfortable
• Created many lasting friendships that have helped develop skills as a communicator using a global perspective

• Tutored students, ages ten to eighteen, who needed help with homework every Saturday throughout the school year
